Only on Amazing Race Canada do Racers go back to a previous location… And it not be the final Pit Stop of the race. Hehe. Some fun stuff happened this episode, like rowing Dory’s and FIVE-PIN Bowling “Face Off” (first time I’ve heard of this). Then there was my worst nightmare of a challenge; doing stand-up comedy. OMG. I would absolutely HATE doing this… No thanks. I’d probably have to take a penalty 😛 And hallelujah, it was an elimination leg!!
Total nerd moment here, but if you break down the title quotes, see Kristeph won and had 3 quotes for titles. The top 3 teams all had the most quotes in Season 4. For Season 5, Team Giver currently have the most, with the PTs not far behind. This probably means nothing at all, but I found it interesting 😛

MY BOYS!!! Firstly, HUGE congratulations to Sam getting into med school. Did they set the video call/clue up just for him?! Maybe, but it was totally awesome TV because he got accepted. 😀
Secondly, second 1st place of the season and I couldn’t be happier for them. Totally deserving and they’ve been right up there each week. The positive news definitely helped propel the boys through this leg. With Paul having som rowing experience the Dory Detour was perfect for them, and they smashed those pins at the bowling alley against Adam and Andrea! The stand out for me though was Sam at the Comedy Club. OMG, he blew me away with how composed he was on stage and didn’t let the nerves get to him like most of the other teams. Sam didn’t even flinch (from what we saw). He probably believed the jokes were actually funny… Which helps 😛 I will be extremely shocked if they don’t make the Top 3!

Placings: 1st, 5th, 6th, 4th, 4th, 5th
GIVEERRRRRRR. I’m just trying to be annoying now 😛 The boys are back in town!! Or are they? They’ve had a rough trot since episode one and always seemed to have trouble on at least one challenge each leg since. But they eventually got their shit together once they figured out how to row the boat; they were seriously going round in circles, haha. And after the second attempt, Kenneth completed the dreaded Comedy act, coz HE’S DA BOMB!
Really good leg for the boys though overall, and I think they are definitely in the running to make the Top 3. Not counting them out yet!
Team #3 – Adam & Andrea
DETOUR: Family Story
ROADBLOCK: Who’s Da Bomb? Comedy Club – Andrea
Placings: 3rd, 7th, 3rd, 3rd, 1st, 1st
BOO #TeamAA came third!! Kidding. But oh boy, did the Comedy Club really mess it up for them! See, it’s an awful Roadblock!! Haha. Poor Andrea had a tough time woo-ing the crowd, although I did find her original jokes pretty funny! After being hit with vegetables a few times, she finally got it on her fourth attempt… Or the host just felt sorry for her.
Adam and Andrea also chose the Viking Detour and I had absolutely no clue what was happening to be honest. O_O
But don’t worry, this was only a speed bump… I have a good feeling #TeamAA will come back again next week and ultimately make the Top 3! 😉
Team #4 – Karen & Bert

ROADBLOCK: Who’s Da Bomb? Comedy Club – Bert
Placings: 6th, 4th, 5th, 5th, 5th, 4th
Karen and Bert. I feel like I keep repeating myself each week. Middle of the road yet again and I can’t help but laugh and be in awe at the same time! They just keep playing to their strengths and do just enough to hang in there to not be in last place, but not be seen as a threat to win. You never know, if these two make it to the end they could pull a sneaky and take the title! Unfortunately, I don’t think this happens. I have a feeling they’ll be gone on the next international leg in Panama… We shall see! Highlight of the leg for K-Bert was beating Ivana and Korey at the Face Off… STRIKE!!
Team #5 – Korey & Ivana
DETOUR: Find Your Dory
ROADBLOCK: Who’s Da Bomb? Comedy Club – Ivana
Placings: 2nd, 8th, 2nd, 6th, 6th, 3rd
So, Korey and Ivana weren’t doing that badly this leg, it was mainly just two things holding them back – (1) Korey doing the longest pee in the world and (2) getting to the bowing alley too late and having to wait to Face Off! I laughed so hard at Korey and even moreso, Ivana’s reactions! Girl didn’t know what to do with herself. Hahaha.
After beating Andrea and Ebonie at the Face Off, I was a little worried with Ivana completing the Comedy Act… I totally doubted her abilities of being funny. Hello, PTs, seriousness. But holy crap, she blew me away! I guess she’s used to being in the fore front and speaking in front of large groups etc, and this was no difference. She absolutely killed it. You go, girl! 😀 I expect Korey and Ivana to make the Top 4, but I am tossing up between them and Team Giver to make the Final episode… Ooh!
Team #6 – Andrea & Ebonie

ROADBLOCK: Who’s Da Bomb? Comedy Club – Ebonie
Placings: 7th, 2nd, 7th, 7th, 2nd, 6th
Ahh, my love-hate relationship with Andrea and Ebonie. Finally, and I say this in the nicest way, they have been eliminated! I think this leg just showed that they’ve been really lucky as things went their way when they needed it most. After the awkward spat with Adam and Andrea, no one was there to look out for them this time and they were always one step behind the other teams. They also had to complete an archery Speed Bump to boot! They did really well at the archery though and Andrea was showing off her mad skills.
The girls made it to the Face Off last and lost their bowling match against Korey and Ivana and had to wait for the boring egg timer to run out. Tick, tock. I thought it was a great choice to put Ebonie up for the Roadblock as I think she has bigger comedy chops; she’s been pretty funny on this race. Alas, they were the last team to arrive at the Pit Stop and their lucky run ended. Seriously, major kudos to these girls who took a chance on a penalty in the first challenge of the Race; who knows, if they didn’t they may have not made it this far! Congrats girls!
