Here we are, the final episode of CBS’ first crack of HUNTED. With 3 teams still on the loose, who will make it to the $250k cash prize, and who will fall just short?! Let’s dive in…
FUGITIVE STATUS SINCE LAST EPISODE:

TEAM 3: MATT AND CHRISTINA – Engaged Couple. STATUS: Captured.
TEAM 4: LEE AND HILMAR – Friends. STATUS: On the run.
TEAM 5: TROY AND CHELE – Married Couple. STATUS: Captured.
TEAM 6: AARIF AND IMMAD – Friends. STATUS: On the run.
TEAM 7: MILES AND WILL – Friends. STATUS: Captured.
TEAM 8: THU AND SENTRA – Friends. STATUS: Captured.
TEAM 9: ENGLISH AND STEPHEN – Married Couple. STATUS: On the run.
TONIGHT’S FUGITIVES:
TEAM 4: LEE AND HILMAR – Friends
Last seen… Pranking ol’ Griff. And oh wasn’t that a sight to see! Wonder if anyone bought that wolf puppy.
It’s day 28 and the wolves are at their mate Topher’s place hatching out a plan to win this thang. It’s from here we learn that the show make it even harder as the fugitives must make 3 final steps: 1. Log into a secure website to retrieve their escape details (so secure), 2. withdraw their $250k from their assigned bank and 3. Travel, BY FOOT (sounds fair), to an awaiting plane to escape the hunt zone. Sounds easy peasy, right?! O_O
While the boys make their way to their assigned bank, Topher is interrogated by Team India and Amanda does not back down. She finds out that the boys are driving a grey Chevy and they grabbed fuel at a station not long before. And of course Intel are on to the CCTVs and find their car licence plate, dammit! Team Alpha is deployed to head up Lee and Hilmar’s way and Griff is hungray for a catch.
Fortunately for the wolves, they are already 12 steps ahead of the Hunters, these guys are legends. They put on a suit, make it to the bank and collect their winnings from the safe room.
ALERT, ALERT, WOLVES ONT HE RUN!!
The boys are now running to their plane, but who knows how far away that really is… Lee underestimates his fitness levels and has to stop for a ciggy break, without the ciggy of course; no time for that!
Get up, bro!!
Lee doesn’t want to leave his best mate behind and encourages him to get his ass moving, NOW! He eventually does and they make it to the runway with their swanky plane with leather interior waiting. FANCY!
The Lost Wolves have done it, 28 days on the run, $250k in cash. Congratulations guys!! I am so unbelievable happy!! And Griff? Well…
FINAL VERDICT…
Lee and Hilmar were strategic, ballsy and at the same time crazy right from the very start when they left their cryptic escape room message behind for the Hunters. The battle between Fugitive and Hunter was on and the war between the Wolves and Team Alpha ramped up when Lee’s wife, Beth, butt-dialed Griff. The insane move of flying Beth out was something to be proud of, especially getting away with it after posting the Instagram photo, and messing with Griff’s number was just hilarious! Not everything went to plan when their ‘secret’ email plan was ruined by USPS (damn spy mail) and they had to re-hash a new one. Overall, with how risky their moves have been they somehow kept their location under-wraps and were 3 steps ahead of Hunters the whole series. My favourites from the start, major kudos guys! 🙂
TEAM 6: AARIF AND IMMAD – Friends
Last seen… They drove off with a new friend, Amaan, from the mosque, but Intel are hot on their tails. It’s going to be a close one!
The boys are dropped off at pretty much a dump site with a row of empty houses, and Intel having leads send three teams, yes THREE, down to the site. OH NO! Team India, Charlie and Golf are searching the area while the boys hide out inside the building…

Whilst the Hunters are searching the building, the boys dash out the back into the field and behind a mound of straw/hay/dirt?! Not sure what it is, but they are pretty much cornered now. AND I THOUGHT THEY HAD THIS!!
Be vewwy, vewwy quiet.
Team Golf totally have a ‘boys’ look and don’t check behind the mounds, while Team India are determined for a catch and search EVERYWHERE. Eventually they spot the boys and Immad takes off running!
Run and roll!
Sadly, the boys are DONE. And it’s the game over for the brown boys. 🙁
FINAL VERDICT…
Wow. Even leading into this finale I really thought they had it. But Intel were right, their leads starting with hacking into the boys phones and knowing Meadow was their head contact ruined it for them. They did so well outlasting the Hunters for so long though, and much credit is due! The efforts they went to including kayaking miles just to get to an ATM and shaving their heads and facial hair make them worthy of a win, but alas, they just fell short! Congrats #TeamBrown on a great run!
TEAM 9: ENGLISH AND STEPHEN – Married Couple
Last seen… English’s Uni contacts have come in handy and they are picked up by a friend of a friend and taken back to her brother’s place.
Intel find out a couple of English’s Uni contacts and sends them on to Griff. He then calls one special lady, Meredith. She refuses to cooperate with Griff to offer any information, until BAM. How about $500?? Meredith suddenly is interested and accepts. WHAT?! Not really a friend, hey English. She tells Griff who picked the married couple up and where they were headed. Then Meredith has the gall to ask if it’s only a one-off payment. HAHA!
“Thank you sweetie” – Griff.
Just like Lee and Hilmar, English is completely on to the Hunters and knows they can’t stay around for long. Her and Stephen head off from their friends place and head back out on the road and end up on a farm. Meanwhile, Intel put out Wanted posters online for their whereabouts. Rude.
The couple catch a ride into town with a farmer and English realises she cannot call and use her sister anymore. They decide to knock on another randoms door and not only do these people let them stay the night, but they offer them pizza. SCORE!
Hells yeah!!
And this is where Team King shine!! With the help of the strangers, and the strangers neighbour, they hatch a plan to lure the Hunters to her sister Amber, while they make their escape to the bank. The strangers give them the key to their spare car and agree to be part of the diversion pretending to be English and Stephen meeting Amber; aren’t some humans amazing?! English then calls Amber from the strangers home phone telling her to meet at a parking lot of a funeral home. Oooh this is gonna be good.
Intel are all over it and deploy Team Alpha and Charlie to the parking lot. They see a car waiting. They also see Amber’s car rock up and the Hunters pounce!! Low and behold…
Absolute gold!!!
The plan works and Griff is mad as hell that he’s been duped, again! The strangers reactions to Griff are priceless. Amber refuses to tell them anything an the Hunters are back at square one. Mwahaha.
Team King are already at the bank, grab their money over the counter and make a mad dash down the road. They look much far fitter than the wolves.
Intel catch wind that the Kings will be heading towards a sea plane, so send Team India and Bravo down to hopefully catch them before they fly off. Intel struggle getting in contact with the sea plane pilot. Suckers.
The couple make it to their plane, hooray!! But the plane fails to start and even I’m going into freak out mode!
I’d be hyperventilating too, Stephen!
After an intense few seconds (on TV of course), the sea plane starts up and flies off into the sunset… Team King have done it!!! Another $250k has been won. Congratulations to the underdogs of Hunted. 😀
FINAL VERDICT…
The late start in the season and quiet ‘story-line’ really put me in my spot with this win. I just didn’t see it coming. English really was pivotal to the success of this team and I give her major kudos for her planning efforts. The Kings learnt from their mistakes, gained trust in many complete strangers and even set up a master plan to derail the Hunters. Although subtle, the couple did what they needed to do to win. Couldn’t be happier with the result!!
