We only had one episode this week due to some unimportant soccer match. World Cup blah blah. Hello, Brooke Blurton is trying to find the woman or man of her dreams here! It was the campest week so far on Bachelorette AU.
This week we saw Millie receive her first single date, which was situated in a man-made dreamy Winter Wonderland. There were hot toddies, snow angels and mural painting which was super sweet. Did anyone else just melt watching these two? For about 10 minutes I forgot how young Millie is (only 22, what?!) and I almost thought she would surpass the brilliant Holly for Brooke’s heart. Of course there was some cool make-out time, ssh, don’t tell Jamie Lee! Millie is slowly making her way up my rankings <3
We then saw the whole group of Bachies partake in a Mardi Gras parade. WHAT EVEN IS THIS SEASON!? Bachie Australia is ticking all the boxes. They were split into two groups – Disco float and the Rainbow float.
DISCO – Holly, Taje, Kurt, Luca and Darvid. RAINBOW – Will, Jamie Lee, Millie, Konrad and Steve.
Each had to dress themselves, decorate their float and choreograph their parade dance with Brooke as Mardi Gras queen. It was filled with glitter, sequins, rainbows and pure joy!
Over at Disco, Holly took charge as “boss bitch” and provided choreography for the team, ensuring everyone had a chance to dance with Brooke. Holly was just so exuberant and it was a beautiful moment when she spoke about having straight allies, and more specifically straight male allies. The LGTBQ+ community welcomes all allies. Acceptance has come a long way, but there’s still a long way to go. It was amazing seeing someone as bland as Kurt really embrace the task and he had a fabulous gold, glittery outfit to boot! Haha. Even Luca looked his best with a skirt and his hair down… Soo much better.
At the rainbow float, Will was somehow designated leader… pfft. Cue Jamie Lee! This chick has done Mardi Gras before and knows how to gay partay! One of my favourite scenes was Queen Kiki, aka Konrad. OMG what a riot!! Konrad even has dressed in drag before and he looks in his element, it’s fantastic.
Finally, Holly was the one who caught Brooke’s attention the most and she deservedly accepted an early rose. At the rose ceremony we said a teary goodbye to Taje, who was one of the more popular participants this season, but was rarely given any airtime. Taje didn’t even have a single date and it begged to differ if she was just cast because she is a first nations woman (just like Brooke). It seems the POC have been tossed aside in terms of edit. BOO. Oh and Steve left too.

My Remaining Bachie Rankings:
1. HOLLY
Who else is enamoured by Holly and Brooke? I will cry if Brooke breaks her heart. I swear. Shit will go down!! This week she continued to impress our bichelorette and I will continue to stan til the end!
2. DARVID
How much do sports betting sites suck? Those rumours aside, Darvid is still Holly’s biggest threat to win Brooke’s heart and even though I will absolutely RIOT and chuck a fit if a woman doesn’t win, he is the only man I will be satisfied with.
3. MILLIE
Yes Millie, I do want to build a snowman. So young, but also mature in many ways. She has jumped right up in my rankings with that sweet as date. We love seeing her kisses as much as Brooke loves receiving them. Millie is a huge threat to the likes to Jamie Lee. This newbie is ready to take the mansion on! Although, next week’s promo looks a bit iffy when Millie starts pushing little kids out the way on a group date. The things you do for love, eh? :O
4. JAMIE LEE
Prayers for Jamie Lee! Ever since that turd Ryan made moves on her, things have been looking bleak for Jamie Lee and Brooke and it’s been clear how Brooke has now put a wall up between them. All those kisses have been thrown over the bridge and Jamie Lee is trying to do EVERYTHING to win Brooke back. I really hope she can. We need Bramie to be a thing!!
5. KURT
Slow and steady wins the race. Pretty sure that’s how Kurt did in the pool, as I’ve never heard of him at the Olympics before. Kurt is still catching Brooke’s eye and definitely still in in to win it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kurt made Top 4 to be honest!
6. KONRAD
Gotta love a man who isn’t afraid to show his true rainbow colours! Konrad drops down in my rankings this week, only because there are so many others forging ahead. He is still way up there, but with the recent rumours of him and Abbie Chatfiled (WHAT?!) my hopes of a Bronrad relationship is waning. Still, a fantastic guy who I want to make home visits. His family would be interesting to meet!
7. LUCA
Naturally, Luca is near the bottom of the rankings and lezbehonest, he’s not going to last much longer. Though, if he goes further than Jamie Lee I will eat my Survivor cap! I’ll give him kudos for wearing a skirt at Mardi Gras and he looks soo much hotter with his hair down (I’m not a fan of man buns). Luca to go next week!
8. WILL
I love rooting for my hometown peeps, and Jess was a perfect match, but Will… Who are you? What are you doing here? Please leave. I doubt Will make hometown visits and he’s lucky to have made it this far! I’m sure he’s a lovely guy (like so many others), but he’s taking up space for my lovely ladies (and lads who I actually like). Bubye, Will <3
